Year in the Life of Savings: May 2013

I’m probably one of the biggest fans of Sometimes something seemingly “too good to be true” is really true! saved me a whopping $2,341.00 in 2012!

I changed dentists and found out I needed a LOT of dental work. Besides the initial examination, x-rays, and cleaning, I needed two extractions and three crowns by a dentist, an evaluation and dental surgery by a periodontist for a total of $4,586.00. The dentist’s receptionist told me about I didn’t think pre-existing conditions would be covered, but set me up with a program that started immediately, and I saved over half of the estimated cost (talk about “too good to be true” actually being true!) .
