The end of May is here, and summer is just around the corner! What’s a better dessert than something that combines two summertime treats: watermelon and sorbet? We found a COOL WHIP Watermelon Sorbet over at Babble that the kids will love!
- 3 cups watermelon
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 (8 oz) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
Puree watermelon with sugar in a blender.
Stir watermelon puree with whipped topping in a large, plastic bowl. Add food coloring, if desired.
Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap, then place in freezer.
Scrape the sorbet using a fork every 20-minutes to keep from turning into a solid mass.
Scoop into small cups after 2-3 hours of freezing.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips, serve and enjoy!
