A Year in the Life of Savings

For most of my life, I have had serious dental problems due to my Crohn’s disease and the medications I take to control it. In fact, I have mostly crowns in my mouth now, all done over the last twenty years without dental insurance. To say that I have probably put my dentist’s child through college is an understatement.

This year, I got Northeast-Southeast and I gave up my dentist of 30 years who told me he only takes this plan for new patients. I needed some major work re-done, including a problematic root canal that required the services of an endodontist. The root canal that should have cost $1200 only cost me $750 because of my dental plan. It paid for itself with my first visit, and I never intend to be without it again.
