How to Win $2,012 for Your Dental Bills in 2012

What would you do if you won more than $2000 towards your family’s dental bills this year? Finally get your daughter the braces she so desperately needs? Or maybe, take care of that root canal you’ve been putting off? Better yet, you can whiten your teeth for the smile you’ve always wanted. What ever your dental resolution in 2012, we want to “Grant Your Dental Wish.”

In 2011, the American Dental Association reported that consumers nationwide have delayed getting medical and dental care because of recession-related drops in household income and loss of health insurance.

So, this month, in addition to finding you the best alternatives to dental insurance, DentalPlans.com and the Dental HyGenie mascot will award $2,012 towards dental care costs to one deserving fan through the “Grant a Dental Wish” Facebook contest*. Everyone has a story, and we want to hear from you.

To enter the contest for your chance to win $2012 dental dollars:

  1. Be a DentalPlans.com Facebook fan.
  2. From Tuesday, Jan.10 – Monday, Jan. 16, submit (up to) a 400-word story telling us why you could use the money towards your dental care, here.
  3. On Tuesday, Jan. 17, the Dental HyGenie and DentalPlans.com’s voting panel will share the top 10 stories submitted by Facebook fans.
  4. Fans will then have until Tuesday, Jan. 24 to vote for the most deserving story.
  5. The first place winner will get up to $2,012 towards the cost of their dental bills, and two runner-ups will win a free discount dental plan from DentalPlans.com

I had cancer about 5 years ago. Thankfully after several painful years of treatment I am now in remission. I started trying to get my life together but come to my surprise, I didn't know that cancer treatments distroy your teeth. I have spent over $9,000 in the past three years trying to keep up with the damage the cancer treatments did to my teeth. Unfortunately, my road is still not over. Every time I go to the dentist my teeth need more and more work. After I sold all my stock and emptied my savings I have now run out of money for my teeth and if I cannot save enough to fix them I'm going to be in real trouble. Since my cancer treatments I have been unable to work becuase I now live with chronic fibromyalgia as well and I just can't pay to get my teeth fixed. Even though I have dental insurance it only deducts a little from my bill and I really need a special Santa to help me pay my dental bills and on-going work. I hope you find it in your hearts to help me since I'm living on such a small amount.

I would really love to be grant the dental wish to fix my teeth. I have not had my teeth looked at in two years and now they are really falling apart and need to be worked on. If I would just be grant a wish and win the contest my teeth could get the attention they greatly need to get back looking the way they should and feel good again an have a shine to them Please grant me the wish

I have dental plans.com. With the recession no where in end dental plans help when your self employed and the phones are not ringing. This has been an even harder year for my family. I had two wrecks, not my fault, and the last one I am still on pain meds, and can barely raise my left arm. I have been going to the food banks to feed myself and my family. I separate the two ply toilet paper and put it on another empty roll. Never in my life have I ever had to be so inventive. LOL!!! Now I really appreciate every kind guesser and really has humbled me. We had no gifts Christmas, but it was the best Christmas I ever had. We watched on TV all the old Christmas spirit movies and played board games. This has bought my family together and now we are back to talking with one another. I don't tell them I have to be careful chewing because I need dental work. I have the dental plan but not the extra bucks to fix a root canal. I count my blessing one by one. Good luck to the one chosen and my your situation improve. Thanks Dentalplans.com
