3 Ways to Make Dental Health Fun for Kids

Between running your 6-year-old to your family’s pediatric dentist, getting your teenager ready for the Homecoming dance or prepping for tomorrow’s presentation at work, we know you have a mountain of things to do.

Especially all those busy multi-masking moms with the ability to function on five hours of sleep and still be a graceful leader at work the next day.

DentalPlans.com’s Dental HyGenie is helping put the trick-or-teeth in your kids dental care by launching a mouthful of parent-friendly activities and resources to celebrate National Dental Hygiene Month this October.

Here are three ways to make dental health for children fun this month:

  1. Dental Games for Kids: A collection of tooth-tastic activities to promote good dental health with your children. Parents will find our educational “Healthy Smiles Coloring Book” and a “Smile Search” word puzzle with dental care terms at our kids activity section.

  2. Frightening Family Photo Contest: Enter our Facebook Halloween photo contest for a chance to win a free dental savings plan and a $500 Visa gift card to help pay for your kids next dentist visit. It’s easy and free to join. You can visit the DentalPlans.com Facebook page and upload your favorite family Halloween pic of the patch to enter. The photo with the most votes wins.

  3. Toothbrush Task Force: DentalPlans.com has assembled a panel of hard-working women to provide monthly dental care tips from a moms perspective. Because getting our kids to brush isn’t always easy, our Toothbrush Task Force will share their wisdom and insights to help busy parents share the importance of oral health with their children. So have a fangtastic National Dental Hygiene Month this October and stop back often for ways to make dental health fun for your children.
